NEWS!!! We are excited to announce that this year we have added a bitumen-only event, 'The All-Bitchi Alternative', for those riders who don't like to get a little dust on their treasured machines. For this year, the route is a 90km ride to the small town of Miling and back. The ride is for individual riders only, as there will be no checkpoints, only water stops (you may ride together as a team if you like).

The Challenge!!
This is a one day Grand Fondo Style cycling event catering for all levels of ability and fitness, from junior riders to the over 50’s, from the novice rider to the keen enthusiast, for anyone embarking on a fitness campaign and for anyone just wanting to have a fun day.
We would love you to join in, either as an individual rider or as a team - why not get some mates, family or work colleagues together. You can enter as a casual rider or “race it” - it's up to you!
The aim of the day is to get the community together and to raise awareness for mental health, providing an opportunity to laugh, exercise, socialize, talk, laugh again, create new friendships and meet new people. Also, we hope to bring the city to the country and give the city cyclist an opportunity to explore and experience what the country has to offer, all in one afternoon. You will experience unique country hospitality in a 'no frills' event - just a good long ride, or short if you like, in the Wheatbelt.
You can choose one of four courses which meander through the District of Moora and Watheroo, touching on the beautiful Berkshire Valley. There is no Single Track, but you will experience a mix of high quality gravel and bitumen roads.
Although we have included a bitumen-only ride this year, the other routes are predominantly gravel, so if using a road bike, ride with caution as the surface can be loose or scattered with small pot holes and corrugations. MTB bikes are good, but can be a bit heavy going. Cyclocross bikes are light which makes for easy riding. Be mindful that too heavy a bike/tyre combination will make it a grueling ride - do your homework. Cycle Bespoke have great bike preparation advice on the Pricing and Registration page. For more information go to contact us page.
After the event you will be provided with some wonderful country hospitality, including a delicious, healthy meal and some great music provided by Geraldton band, The Tenindewa Tossers. So choose your ride and join the Gravel Grinder this October!
